Significant anxiety or stress levels can result in memory loss. People juggling too much from work to home without getting enough sleep are likely to suffer from memory loss. Reducing your stress levels can significantly improve your cognitive abilities. If your stress is not reduced or treated accordingly, you can suffer from depression which might affect your cognitive ability.

If you have suffered a head injury, mild or severe, you are at risk of suffering memory loss. Depending on the severity of the injury, you’re likely to suffer confusion or trouble with concentration. Lastly, continued abuse of substances such as drugs or alcohol will definitely affect your memory.
