There is an unincorporated area between the cities
of Santa Barbara and Goleta known to the locals as "Noleta".
One of the busier overpasses in "Noleta" is Turnpike
Rd. Even on this Sunday morning there was a steady stream of cars
across it and under it on Highway 101. With OneCareNow banners
facing the highway as well as banners and signs on the overpass,
the Hodges and the Conns got the
word out for the need of single-payer universal health care for
all California. We were greeted frequently with waves, honks,
and thumbs up.
