A large group convened at Preisker Park for breakfast on Saturday morning for information and letter writing to local legislators in support of SB 840. 

Representatives from ten organizations spoke briefly about their organizations mission and support of the onecareNOW campaign for universal health care.  Representatives were: Deborah Cole - CSEA ; Deborah Braskett - Santa Barbara County Action Network ; Lisa Walters
- a teacher and member of CTA; Laurel Williams - CNA; Lucia Acosta - Planned Parenthood, Natalia Bautista-PUEBLO; Jennifer Barber - League of Women Voters; Peter Conn - HCA-Santa Barbara Chapter; Bob Bronfen- ACLU; George Daly - Democratic Service Club of Santa Maria.
