A good turnout and tremendous enthusiasm was shared among the participants and with the public at our May 22nd OneCareNow event.

The event was held at Mayfair Park in Lakewood. A coalition of activists was made up of CSEA retirees, Democratic members of several clubs, and members of the Health Care for All South Bay/Long Beach chapter. Probably about 17 were in attendance.

 

The park faces an elementary school, giving us a chance to talk with parents about the problematic health care system. Petitions were signed and flyers were given out. It was also an opportunity to promote the Long Beach event with these folks.
