Ginger root has an inflammatory property that is very helpful in treating gout. This helps in relieving the pain and the inflammation. There are a number of ways you can use that are useful to treat gout.
They range from adding a small piece to your cooking ingredients to taking it as it, raw. There are those that add one-half teaspoon of the ginger to boiling water and taking the mixture when it is hot. There are those who make ginger root paste. They then add water and apply the mix to the affected area.
3. Baking Soda
The main cause of gout is the accumulation of gout in the body. Baking soda is a base and can help reduce the amount of the acid in the body. This will in turn help in the relieving of pain.
The procedure is very simple. Take one half teaspoon of baking powder and mix it in a glass full of water. You should take the solution around four times a day. Too much of it is not helpful. You should take for the next two weeks.
4. Lemon Juice
For you to relieve the pain caused by the gout, you have to alkaline the affected joint. The alkaline neutralizes the excess uric acid that is present in the blood stream. This is done easily using lemon juice. Besides taking lemon juice you should also take other fruits that are rich in vitamin C.
Cherries are taken whether they are sweet or sour. They are very helpful due to their antioxidant properties. They also have anthocyanins that help in reducing inflammations.
You should take around 20 cherries a day if you are suffering from gout.
